Parsons is now hiring a Senior Drainage Engineerfor several key design, design-build and other major projects located in our Seattle office practice. In this role, you will be engaged in applying your drainage expertisein designing cutting edge solutions. Responsibilities: . Engineering designs including: project research, storm/drain collection and conveyance systems, storm-water management facilities, construction plans preparation and detail designs all using WSDOT criteria. Apply knowledge of other transportation disciplines that influence the design of drainage features, such as: roadway, structures, signing and pavement marking, signalization and intelligent transportation systems. State Water Management District Permit packages and WSDOT drainage design documentation reports. Manage a team of engineers/designers developing drainage plans, calculations and specifications. Coordinate plans, calculations and specifications amongst the different engineering disciplines. Perform Quality Control to ensure designs, plans and calculations are complete and accurate. Participate in business development activities, assisting in the creation of letters of response and technical proposals/presentations Requirements : At least 8+ years of drainage related work experience working on DOT projects. Washington State DOT experience is highly desirable Bachelor's 4 year Degree in Civil engineering or a related field- accredited four-year college. Professional Engineering ( PE) Registration is required. Proficiency in MicroStation/GEOPAK/Inroads processes. Knowledge and use of GIS a plus. Proficiency in ICPR, ASAD, GEOPAK Drainage and HEC-RAS programs. Experience and a working knowledge of WSDOT plans preparation/design standard is desirable. Strong work ethic and ability to organize and manage engineering design teams/tasks to meet project milestones and budgets.
